K31 chargers on sale again....

Don't worry, you'll be able to buy them for $15 apiece when shipping completes to all the Canadian dealers that bought them all up ;)

Just kidding... Actually, maybe not... Just guessing, more like.

Has anybody tried making these? I've cut a template out of plywood and sanded it to shape, and I was going to pick up some brass shim stock today and give it a try.

Let me know how it goes. I would be interested.
Having said that I have seen a metal one someone made at a gunshow. I also saw a template for a 3D printed one, but who knows how well it would work.

Will do, I got bored the other day and bent one up by hand from .004 steel shim didn't need anything but a pair of scissors and a straight edge, I got my shape by taping 6 rounds together, the result was ugly, sharp, and a bit too flimsy, but it held the rounds and worked OK... I think brass would be slightly more ideal compared to steel, less sharp edges and slightly stiffer, plus polished up, it looks really sharp IMO.

The one I saw was actually quite heavy lol
I think that you are right, a brass one would look very nice, but it has to stay light. You could probably make a copper one and curl over the edges to make them dull. It bends easy and holds it shape relatively well.

I guess it depends how fancy you want them to be ;) Maybe its time to get out the welding torch!
