K31 inherent weakness - receiver ring cracks?

That it was. He asked me to have a look at it. I confirmed that it must have been cracked already. That was after he agreed to take it back and had it back at the warehouse.

Shame such a nice rifle to become a parts gun. I think the barrel was new. Have you seen this before?

It was the first time I saw such a crack, and believe me I have seen seen and handled quite a few Swiss rifles all over the country.
I suspected the few blown receivers over the world had to be caused by an already existing fault.
Yours was the non-smoking gun that might be considered as at least partial proof.

Not much of an honor for me. But Regardless. I like Swiss rifles accuracy. I have two K31`s one is set up with the Diopter target sight the other is standard. I hope if our laws don`t get too rough to own a Swiss Arms in .223/556mm.

Only one I've seen is cracked the only place it could crack, right side at front of operating rod channel.

That's a real sore point with me. You wouldn't believe the number of 12(5) Sigs in my care.
