I found this one, no gunsmithing that clamps directly on top, I can go down and get it now if I wanted but is costs $325! I could buy a savage/scope combo for that.

and then theres the st marie clamp which I cant seem to find but hangs off the side.

Brownells has a few as well

What did yall use?

I bought a swiss products clamp on mount for under 100 I think?

It's held zero. It's a little weird at first getting used to the off-set, but it shoots great.

MY experience:

I found at first it wasn't holding zero. I went through like 3 boxes of GP11 and was frustrated with with the dinner plate sized grouping. The mount is 3/8 and required 22 rings. I bought good millett rings (angle lock) and they ended up being the problem.

I added a 3/8 to picitinny rail mount and added decent 1 inch rings.

It now holds zero and is solid.

Others haven't had the issues I did with the 22 rings.

I bought a set of those Millett Angle Loc rings after I heard of your problems with them.
I can see where you were getting frustrated with them. Mine were not giving paper plate accuracy, but it was drifting way too much for my taste. Can't say if it is a bad batch or ill fitting lock screws. I'll get back to trying them again when I have time and ammo to waste.

I had good luck with Burris and Warne 7.3 3/8'dovetail rings.
Will try some Burris like rings I bought from Tradeex some weeks ago too.

I'd go with the st marie no gunsmith mount - cheap and works really well. I haven't had much of a chance to really put it through its paces, but like most things for the k31, it's pretty well made and very functional.

No, they are unique to the K31.

There will be a new version very soon for the 1911 action versions (96/11, 1911, K11, 1897 Kadet, and even the 1889). Tradeex has ordered a few of those and people have pre-order half of what they are getting in. These mount will be more expensive due to the extra metal and machining for the pillars from the action screws to the rail.

I will say the iron sights are also nice on these rifles.

After my exasperating pie-plate groups I took it off, and just to be sure it wasn't the rifle and fired a quick 3 shot group at 50 yards - and it groups amazing.
