K31 Swiss inventory

I'm torn right now.
I bought a K31 a couple of years ago after reading so much about them, however I just never felt the love like so many others do. I find it awkward, and just a generally goofy design. I personally much prefer my Swedish Mausers.
I've been thinking about putting it on the EE for trade or sale, but I worry I may regret it if I do.
I'll give it another chance next time I go out to the range and see if she can win me over.

Ya, they do tend to get a bit overhyped.

I think they are amazing rifles. I have luckily been Able to find and buy 2 within the last 4 months for under 500 dollars. They are my favourite military rifles out there. The accuracy is amazing for a rifle as old as they are. I have one 1944 walnut stocked k31 and one 1951 beech stocked k31. I don't think we will be seeing any more any time soon. I have seen them sell for up to 1000 dollars on EE.

one sold for $1200. Crazy. But so are $2000+ Garands and K98's. The milsurp world is no longer the bargain it used to be.

(psssst.... M95's are still fairly affordable for now).

The accuracy of the K31 or any other rifle has nothing to do with its age. It's all about condition of the bore and initial bedding. A K31 with a worn throat or bore won't be accurate. Same goes for any other rifle.

I have taken my K31 to 600 yards hitting a 12" gong without difficulty using the GP11 ammo. Capable of 2MOA or better.

I think it's just amazing how an old military rifle as old as it is can shoot as good as it does. Of course condition means everything but most of the k31s out there are in excellent shape.
