K31 tag and cleaning questions

It reads

Secondly I can't find any info on cleaning, greasing with Swiss issue cleaning kit.

I've searched youtube and did a google search nothing...

I've found some info but only not anything detailed or a manual.
From what I have found I know the rifles were shot greased when barrel still warm, cleaned once at home and bolt greased.
no grease to be used in the field.

That is about all I have been able to find.

Also I picked up a Swiss kit from Tradex complete with grease cans. Is this the correct grease for a K31?

Might as well do a plug for a fellow Canadian Swiss Rifle Club :)

Yes we do try to clean the copper and carbon once a year. Otherwise it's de-grease, shoot, re-grease and store till next shoot.

This meaning is retained in the name of the 1938 Swiss film Fusilier Wipf.
 
Yes 1943 Manufacture.
Stocks were dated(Dec 1942 in your rifles case), THEN left to dry. Always an earlier date than the rifle.
Serial Numbers added to stock when rifle was assembled
 
Slight hi-jack here but since we are talking soldiers tags on K-31's I tried looking mine up but couldnt figure it all out. Also some very fine hand writing makes it hard to make out at times.
