K31

Don't see why not.
Follow the Manual instructions for grease and oil, there are reasons for it.
Alpine conditions similar to our winters.

Awesome.

K31 ####, translated documentation and first hand advice. Yet no actual K31.

Guesses as to first purchase of 2015?

Happy New Year, K31 Nutterz.

The grease does not have to be 'intelligent', or have its own agenda in order to function. Nor does it need any -iums in it in order function. It's grease, for goodness' sake, not an alien lifeform that 'takes care' of the gun while you are asleep.

I've been using the contents of a ten-pound can of Shakespeare spinning reel grease for the last 20+ years, and none of my Swiss guns have so far disintegrated into sad little piles of powder metallic fragments.

Thank you Diopter!
The pics of the swiss target really make more sense now. And your assessment of the FTF due to an out of battery situation may indeed be exactly the issue. Thankfully the Swiss understood this issue and created a fail safe mode. Otherwise......

I forgot to mention that the trigger on the K31 is truly a work of art. Two stage goodness. Beautifully crisp, superb in every way. It felt like the triggers on my TRG'S.
How is that for amazing? A 70 year old milsurp with a trigger to compete with a precision rifle.

I will be getting my list of accessories that I want to order completed very soon. I am just trying to sort out what is a need and what is a want.
Does anyone have any experience using the bipod adapter? I prefer to shoot from a Bipod whenever possible, but the mounting location seems unusual. Any K31 owners please feel free to add your thoughts.

Kind regards and All the best in 2015!

It bolts on, and unbolts off. No alterations to the gun are needed. I don't use one as it is not allowed in the rules, but a pal who does like it.

Diopter no sorry it came across that way, I wasn't being a smart ass. Half hour before I read this I just oiled my bolt on the k31. It's my first swiss rifle that I just purchased and I was just heading out of town for a few days when I was sending that message. Ran down stairs and cleaned all the oil off the bolt before I left town because I didn't have time to wait for a response.

When you've applied that thin application of grease to the moving parts of the bolt, don't forget to do the same to both sides of the operating rod, especially the lug that engages in the helical track on the rotating part of the bolt.

Makes it slicker'n greased weasel snot.

Love the k31! Got two of them one from trade ex and the other was my great grandfathers service rifle. Would love a K11 to add to the collection and a model 1929 revolver would be pretty sweet to have as well. Unfortunately my old girls don't get nearly as much range time as they deserve. I've been trying to make a conscious effort get to the range once a week and switch up the rifles I bring. This week is red maybe next week will be swiss with maybe a little red thrown in. After all can't go to the range with just two rifles.

All K31 will be gone in this year from dealers. You will see bigger prices.

I love the k31 so much I ended up picking up its big brother today!! Found a really nice 1911 swiss!! Couldn't say no haha

It's a I.g. Picked it up from can tire in wpg. They have about 15 left and said that will most likely be the last ones they get in because there getting hard to get. I was lucky I spent about an hour going threw them till I found the (right one) for me. Also svt40's they have 12 left then that's it he said. Priced at 299 still.
