Over the years, I've seen tons of Swiss K31's chambered in .30-30. Was this done at the factory? Or was this done to all these rifles after the fact, similar to how all those Enfields were converted to hunting rifles over the years.
As Dsiwy says, this modification seems to have been done only to the Schmidt-Rubin 1889 rather than K-31.
How are others who have this rifle, managing with that huge rear sight that only goes down to 300m?![]()
