A scoped K98 does not allow a cheek weld if you have proper eye alignment with the scope. Its a chin weld at best. Read any WW2 German sniper book they all say the same thing. Or shoot a scoped K98, the rings cant get low enough to allow the proper function of the rifle and support cheek weld.

The israeli military made a 98k stock cheek piece like on the m14 sniper kit stocks to fix this issue.
I have two of them
