The .22 LR is a high-pressure round, or so I'm told. It may be itty-bitty, but the chamber pressures in even a target round are about 25,000 psi. The maximum SAAMI chamber pressure for a .45 ACP is 21,000. Granted, the .45 is a low-pressure round, but it shows that even the lowly .22 deserves some respect.
