KAC 45° Offset Sight Kit

I thought I'd share as there is not much about these ones on net. I was looking to get BUIS for my AR15 and decided to go with KAC 45° Offset Sight Kit . Good qaulity items, easy to flip and adjust. Good thing is that front sight, there is no need for sight tool to adjust. No wait time to get to the range and try those. Here some pics.

Interesting Denka I as well was looking at these. Question, when in un deployed position are they settled down firm? And in deployed poistion fairly firm as well?

These are pricey like anything KAC but certainly look to be the part as well, it is an interesting option. Thx

So fair no loose movement or something like that, no rattling, everything sturdy in either position

It's too bad they aren't 90 deg. sights available when you really wanna go "gangsta" on that zombie's azz. Fo' shizzle!

What happens if you have a wall and a close target that requires you to use the irons on your right hand side?
Wouldn't this lead you to expose more of your body and rifle
I can sse this being great for left side of a wall targets tho. Just not completely sold on the whole off set sight hype.

The difference is slight, as long as you keep your elbow tucked in your eyes/barrel/sights will clear a barrier at the same time, even if you might lead a bit with your right hand.

i like the KAC irons...im curious what the damage was?

i just picked the Dueck Defense 45 degree irons up for $200.00 and i really like them as well, but i would happily give the KAC a try if the price was right.

I like offset sights, but 600m with offsets? Personally, I would rather have a simple post and aperture that would do fine for under 200m. Much further than that and I think I would be more confident in my ability to hide than my ability to hit effectively with an awkward hold etc.

But I do like the concept and KAC makes nice stuff.

Here is a question, taking things to a ridiculous extreme...

If you have the KAC offset sights, and the KAC offset T1 mount...do they cowitness?

That's really a "pure curiosity" question. Although I am interested in trying the combination of an offset T1, a 1-6, and flip up irons that are not offset.

can they be mounted on the other side for lefties?

That's what I was thinking. Doesn't look like it... Unless they make a left side version.

Update:

I guess they can be used on the left side. However, they will flip in the opposite direction and the adjustment markings will face away from you. They will still be completely functional just wouldn't look quite right.

I think you can do it for lefties. There was a question if you can take sights off the rail, I did respond as yes you can. So far I did not try it, but you unscrew sight from the bottom and you just turn it 180 degree and put it back. I think it should work.
