KAC new LMG

thanks for posting, I don't remember visiting their site and they have really interesting stuff...

Don't you wish they would make a semi version. :D

10Lbs with 550RPM.... are you kidding me? TEN pounds? Thats something.

Nice web site, looks like they found the dark filters in photoshop.

lol stoner thats great .made light weight for all the stoners that only hold xbox controlers (kidding.)kinda a slow rate of fire though for a machine gun though?

I don't like it...
The newest variant of the Minimi (C9) seem to have more advantages.
- does not seem to have a gaz regulator.
- In 5.56, you want want a faster cyclic rate
- no alternate means of feed (mags)
- Only 1 lenght of barrel

It has the same front sight and box clip as the minimi

They are 30 years too late, as Airborne said, the Mag-58... came out in 58 and the minimi, the smaller brother, came out at the early 80's
If it get in production, they will sell, especially in the US where Eugene Stoner is a Legend.

Looks cool

really when a fn c1 can fire faster in a 7.62 rifle form.i would ask for more personally but im a bad shot so i need more rounds down range lol.im sure it could be enough but hey when has enough been enough though.

Not being a machine-gunner, nor overly versed in the theory of Machine-gun fire, I'm going to stray out of my lane and suggest that it looks like a handy package that, if reliable, might be a good option.

Lemme see what I can see from the pics...

-QC Barrel
-integrated rail on the upper and quad rail on the handguards.
-upper sight rail on rear of receiver is not connected to the top cover, so no loss of zero issues (a la C-9/M-249)
-Some parts commonality with M-16 family (look at the trigger group)
-Compact
-550 RPM probably increases controllability in FA fire (remember the BAR from WWII? Had a ROF of 550 RPM too....)
-No integrated bipod, add a couple of pounds to the weight to factor that in.
-Sight line *appears* compatible with M-16 sights, so standard M-16 type optics and iron sight options should work.

*shrug*

I'm outta my lane, but there's some stuff I noted on it. I'll defer to the experts, but hey, it's a lot of gun in a small package. Probably a handy car gun?

550 is more then fast enought in a 10 pound gun if you ask me, i would not want it any faster

C7's does not weight 10 pounds and have a faster rate of fire. 550 is good, howerver, sometimes, faster could be better, so an adjustable gas regulator may be helpful, especially when the gas system get full of carbon, you may start experiencing stoppage.
