OK this may be a "dumb" question but a second opinion is needed. I picked up a set of KAC rail covers and a fore grip, good price. I went to install them on my SAGE stock and they don't seem to "clip" on the rail and stay on. They can move after I slide them on. It looks like the metal spring clip isn't grabbing the rail? Any hints or solutions?

The rail must be made to use the KAC Panel. It has a section that is rebated slightly at the edges of the groove where the metal clip grabs. You will probably have to go to a Tango Down or Magpul panel.

Most high dollar aftermraket rails have a "notch" at the front and rear that the metal clip on the covers fits into.

Just simply remove the rail sections from your sage and Dremel/file the notch at one end of the rail.Thats what I did to my Sage and and everything fit fine. You have to stop and test fit frequently to make sure you don't make the notch too big.

Or simply go to the rubber "ladder" type covers....

SKBY.

Will the Magpul/Tango/LMT down covers work? I can't take a dremel to the stock. Thanks for the "heads up" I'd rather trade for some other covers so that everyone wins.BTW my covers will come with the KAC vertical grip. I have 4-5 panels.
