I am looking to add some bells and whistles to my HK G36K. Anyone know if any Canadian dealers are stocking any Knight's armament rail systems (top rail and forend quad rail) for the G36?

Here is a pic of the G36K with the Knight's rail and front sight. Sorry its not a close up but you will be able to see what you're looking for :). From one HK junkie to another.

I was under the understanding that you couldn't get KAC in Canada?

Spoke to KAC last year. They discontinued all the G36 / SL-8 stuff. The only way you are going to get a rifle length RAS is a used one. The show up once and a while. When I checked last summer there were some suppliers that had a new old stock Carbine RAS. Check with operationparts.net

I ended up with a B&T since I couldn't get a KAC

There are quite a few flip up rear sight with rail and front sites on gunbroker ( used ) for sale

FYI R. Nicholls has some parts from us.

If it was a Mil or LE order I would suggest contacting Darren @ One Shot.

Unfortunately the Department of State has decided our rails are too deadly to be sold to Canadian civilians  - I fail to understand how other rails are being exported, I would have expected DoS to jump on DD as well for this at least for the RISII rails.

You might be confused. The KAC front sight is seperate from the RAS forend. You can buy the KAC front sight and rear sights seperately.

I know because I have them.

Kevin, have you hit someone in the head with one? It can be fatal.

Interesting.... anyone know where to the get the B&T rail, as well as the price? BTW, I love my G36. I was not enamored with it at first, but it has really grown on me.

I got mine from wolverine supplies. Took a a little while to arrive since it had to come from Europe. It was $556.00 plus tax/shipping at the time. No complaints.

Kevin,

What are they looking for, exactly, when they say "LE or Mil"?

Would I need department letterhead, or is Mil ID enough?

I think I already know the answer, but on the off chance...

Brad

We need a purchase order from an agency or unit and end user cert.

As Darren said.

It sucks, but right now that is what DoS is enforcing on us. I'd love to sell civilians in Canada everything we make from NV to Full Auto's to Suppressors, however Department of State is not very accomodating...

I know what you mean but the rail and sights pictured in the Wall-o-HK is indeed HK and not KAC... Hence my comment.

kako911,

The G36C is suppressed and has an HK sight rail. The G36K above it has KAC sights. HK did not make sights like that.

I know because I was in the "Grey Room" in July and held both of those guns.

You will require a offical Government Purchase order from DND/ RCMP or a Dept letter head from a Provincal /Municipal LEA it will require that a end user agreement be signed [meaning that the equipment described cannot be disposed of or given away to non end users and remains property of that agency. Can only sold to an another end user agency that is approved by the US State Dept in this case]which means in plain english they cannot sell to individual members of the military (MIL) or Law enforcement (LE)
