Will I be able to throw a noveske 10.5" or 12.5" with low profile gas block under the URX rail of a KAC SR-15? I notice in pics that the gas block originally extends beyond the rail (mid length?)

Cheers

Carbine length gas bbl's under a URXII isn't a big problem (you may have to shave down the gas block), but midlength almost always requires modification to the rail and the gas block.

Better question, why are you even considering a barrel swap?

You're losing the E3 bolt and barrel extension, so you might as well just build a separate upper.

Why not just go with a shorty KAC upper? ;)

Because they are just a rumour. No details have been given.

When the 4 show up they will be spoken for anyway.
How many years has it been for KAC SR15's?.................

And for a $2000 upper, I want that Triple Tap Included...not no crummy A2!!! An A2 on a $2000 upper???

OST wouldn't be hinting it it wasn't a definite possibility. Maybe they're just trying to gauge interest (it did perk mine, though). I think the wait time for an 11.5" KAC is probably less than an ACR or SCAR right now. :D

Would you like your G.I. Joe with the kung-fu grip as well? The Triple Tap is great, but I imagine that they don't want to automatically tack on a few hundred dollars to the base price since a lot of people will almost certainly use something else (the crappy A2, for instance).

We just found out at SHOT that it's an option on the table.

Seriously people you want to cut the dealers a break, if this is so easy just start your own business & bring everything to market then, firearms and accessories are contentious at best when importing with rules and regulations that can change at a moments notice - wicked police is correct skip this one and put someone else on the list ;)

You'd rather have a $400 muzzle device be standard? That would be a $2400 upper. If you're talking about the upper costing as much as a whole gun, by a Norinco, they cost a case and a half of 5.56mm.

An A2 costs $10 retail. For something that 50%+ of end users are going to replace anyway, I'd rather just get an A2 on everything and replace with my choice of muzzle device with the barrel/gun/upper arrives.

You constantly whine about price like it is your only objective viewpoint. You don't get into a hobby to save money. And for some, it's not just a toy.

Thanks Darren and OST for working to bring in things like this.
