Who cares if a guy wants to drive around his land and shoot a restricted firearm with an un-pinned mag.
Every time somebody posts a a questionable picture or says slips up you have the do gooders here who MUST point that that it's illegal. Like they didn't know. It's like their mad they don't have the nuts.

I certainly don’t care what you or they decided to do. What I care about is you and them telling people that might not know better that it is good to go.

Big Boy rules. Know the law, the consequences if caught and make your decision. Just stop trying to rationalize your poor decisions by convincing people who don’t know better that the illegal thing you did is legal.

That's down in the U.S. - Montana to be exact. I lived in the U.S. for about a year and a half for work, and made a trip to see a friend in Montana so I brought my ar15 to shoot some gophers with. Once I finish my rotation here in Thailand I will be moving back to the U.S. again - hence why my location says Calgary.

To the O.P. - sorry for the big time thread derailment, definitely didn't expect that to happen
Anyways, I still highly recommend the KAC. You really can't go wrong with it, it's a great shooting ar, and I'd have a hard time being convinced to buy any other brand of ar15 after owning this one.

Everyone here has a PAL/RPAL, you should know it's illegal. Nobody is playing internet tuff guy, in fact I don't see a single post here from anyone claiming that they did this.
Really everyone here is just saying they wouldn't bat an eye about it.
I don't think the original post was answered really. What makes the Mod 2 different from the Mod1? Keymod to make lighter?

SO the enhanced gas block, how enhanced is this? I understand the pins, but what impact does that really have, does it improve consistent accuracy?
What I take from it is that the MOD 2 gas block is simpler to install and is mounted in a more rigid way. The rest feels more like talking points to me. The most tangible difference between both is the URX.
IMO, what makes the SR-15 is the E3 bolt so when you're looking at the MOD 1 or MOD 2 you're really only choosing what URX you prefer. They are both tanks and will run like champs.
