KAC stuff

MOST of the KAC stuff in Canada is airsoft.
If you want KAC R.Nicholls is the only place you can find it without any question where it is airsoft or not.

In Canada --I'd go with esquif's recommendations.

Try Dave's Surplus at the top of the page.

Let them know you're from CGN.

Thanks for the info...
Who has the best prices for tangodown and magpull equipment then ?
Probably need a forehand grip as well...

You can get KAC stuff if you search hard enough. eGhey usually has some rail systems and back-up sights floating around, they do sometimes pop up on the boards here too. I got my M5 RAS off a member.

Any KAC stuff I have gotten from this board has been airsoft.

I used to bring KAC stuff in from the source -- but the gains are not worth the headaches in dealing with the export.
1) KAC is expensive they require dealers to do $5k USD orders paid in advance
2) People ##### when it is above US retail (well go figure shipping, brokerage, permit and interest in the $5k sitting for 3+months)

I would say that 90% of the KAC plastic parts are airsoft fakes in Canada - less on the rails -but still a large percentage.

yup and its not whort it : i mean the prenium is so high for real stuff and we have tangodown, larue, magpul that in the end often make a superior product IMHO

In the not too distance past, KAC parts were the only rail system available. The other companies jumped on board and started coming out with all sorts of new and improved gadgets. They had the luxury of having Reed do all of the R&D, marketing, etc. And they can now capitalize on his work.

I was VERY fortunate to have a buddy that took the time, effort, and resources to bring KAC stuff in.
Soooo, guess I am stuck with my old Knights crap, as I am a poor sole who can't afford some of the newer gear. But you know what, I still like it.

Although......., the new Vltor uppers with integral sytems look pretty interesting:D . VS something:confused:

Dont get me wrong I still prefer KAC gear to others.

But unless I know the predigree of seller/importer would pass

I still have 4 NIB M4RAS too ;)

You can still tell a fake upon closer inspection, the best one I've seen is a King Arms (?) copy of the FF URX, markings and all, but the phone number etched on it is invalid.

If you have any beat-up and worn KAC gear you'd be willing to part with I'd be glad to take it off you. So you say the M4 RAS kits are NIB?

There doesn't seem to be a KAC problem for those willing to actually buck up out this way...;) It's the tire kickers who seem to have issues...you wanna play you gotta pay.

Kev. Just 4? Rookie:p

Actually I have a couple of RIS units in there as well, I actually prefer the RIS units as they are easy to install and in the vast majority of aftermarket gun they are tight as hell. That RIS unit I got from you is in my don't sell box along with the LMT stock and a bunch of fancy lettered stuff.;)

Last time I was down in Phoenix, I went to the grand opening of the Scottsdale Gun Club. Had a look around and they had the 3 green KAC panels on the shelf. Of course I had to have them, but jeebers, $35 for each panel:eek: Didn't stop me from getting them, but one of these days I might start to appreciate airsoft:p ;) :D OK, maybe not.
I've done stupider things, but can't remember them all.

Has anybody on here tried, or played with that Vltor top end?

-- I have a VLTOR upper -- but not their monolithic.
Operations Parts in the US is the best (non KAC direct) supplier of KAC stuff I know - followed by Wes at MSTN.

Neither ship to Canada or APO's though.

As with all things of that nature, have a real one to compare to. Side by side you can tell. The airsoft panels fit looser, and most of the airsoft panels have the phone number on them, real KAC usually don't. The airsoft panels I've seen are also a 'glossier' /smoother finish than the real ones.

Most of the airsoft rail systems require a small bit of 'fitting' to a real firearm, so look for some small amounts of dremel work if it is on a gun on the interior. Although some does fit on without any work. Then you will need the side by side comparison. Most of the A/S stuff is extremely close.

Koldt I have seen KAC airsoft panels that fit extremely tight on the KAC RIS
Longshot I believe that Knights does not do retail sales directly but thru there distributors but you should not buy any KAC gear that aint in a KAC pkg also look for the Cage # airsoft wont have it on the packaging
