kadet kit on NZ85

The dimensions are slightly wider on the NZ 85 so I doubt it, but you won't know till you introduce them to each other.

I wanted to do this a few years ago, so I asked about it here. No one reported that they had done it or heard of anyone doing it successfully. Several people said it doesn't fit. I'm not sure of specific reasons that were given but they were convincing at the time.

I think you are out of luck, but I hope you are pig-headed enough to go ahead and buy a CZ Kadet conversion and a NZ85 and prove it. And I hope you will come back and report the result, especially if it is success, because I'd like to know, too, but I can't afford to be as pig-headed as I'd like to be.

I just received a CZ Kadet in the mail. I figured I'd see if the Kadet slide would work on my NZ85. What I found was that the Kadet slide is ever so slightly too big to fit on the NZ frame. However, The NZ85 slide fits perfectly on the CZ frame and function checks perfectly. I'm on my way to the range right now to play with my new CZ Kadet but I will take some pictures and show the results of mixing the Norc and CZ when I get home.

As promised, but please excuse the horrible photography

As you can see the Kadet slide is about 5 thousands of an inch wider than the Norinco slide but all other measurements are the same.

The CZ Kadet slide is just a hair too tight to fit onto the Norinco frame but it is very close. The slide will fit about the first 2 inches down the Norc frame and then bind up. However the Norc slide fits well onto the CZ frame and doesn't have any noticeable play and it function checks perfectly.

It may be wider on the outside of the slide so it would be better to measure the rail cut in the slides and the the rail on the frames.
