Does anyone recognize this scope? I picked it up at The Calgary gun show. It is a 6x42 with a 26mm steel tube and is 14 inches long. Both turrets are click adjustable. The front bell is rubber. Reticle focuses at rear. The coated glass is perfect, very clear and very sharp. The seller thought it might be a Czechoslovakian military sniper scope. I am going to use it on a varmint rifle. I am just curious as to its origin. See photos of reticle and markings. Thanks.

Looks Austrian Khales, something very similar is used on Galil Sniper and Steyer 69 sniper rifle scopes. I'm no longer 100% sure last time I saw them was 25 years ago

Looks a lot like a military version of the ZRAK 6x42 as brought back by our guys from the former Yugoslavia. I had one from there that got here that way. Very solid scope and very good optics. Too bad only a 1" tube though. Looks like it had tritium illumination too. Probably set up for 7.92x57.

I bought it because I was so impressed with the optics...the absolute clarity and brightness... like looking through a new pair of high end Swarovski binoculars...with a very useful reticle...and fully adjustable...and built like a tank...and all for cheap at the Calgary gun show. (Quality used optics were a real bargain there. I also picked up a minty Swarovski 4X (Habicht, "Made in Austria") for very little money.)

For my old eyes anyway, these slightly older Swarovski and Kahles scopes are the best for clarity, brightness and accurate color transmission. I have shot many big bucks in twilight with these scopes. I trust them.

The ballistic turret pretty clearly says M118 which is a US 308 match load.

I put it on a .22 (Brno Mod. 5 1958) until I find a better use for it. I have a couple of sets of old Sako 26 mm rings but they are too low for this scope..
