Randomly grazed this link to Kalashnikov Factory, maybe old news to some, but it is interesting. In fact the whole site is interesting. It is truly amazing to see billions of dollars of aircraft, all over the country rotting away. Most of it is Cold War era but still.

The Russians build some pretty cool stuff, their aircraft in particular. It is really unfortunate that we cannot import and utilize Russian aircraft in Canada. Transport Canada will just not allow it to happen in the commercial sector. VIH some years ago jumped through countless hoops to import a Kamov KA-28 for logging. It was restricted to no passengers and they needed to have Russian engineers onsite all the time. Sorry I digress this is a gun board....

Deffinately no Ladas were ever made by Izhevsk
There are some IZH bikes and utility vehicles, but those probably build at Izhevsk Automotive Plant of some sort..
