The KTSA is putting on a Fun 3 gun match March 28, 2009. Registration and stages can be found on the IPSCBC site. http://www.ipscbc.com/match.php
They should also be posted on the KTSA site in the near future.

I've never even seen a three gun match - can I bring my handgun and find some shooting?

feel free. Why not enter? There will be extra rifles to be borrowed and I'm sure someone would lend you a shotgun if you bring your own ammo.
