Kamloops gun show

Remember, tomorrow is all about ACTS and PROVE.

ACT as though you control your wallet.

PROVE to the missus that the purchases were necessary hahaha

See you tomorrow CanAm!

Man I wish I could be there this year! My gun buddies are going ,but I'm at a big trap
shoot this weekend on the Island. I made out OK though cause I made a good gun trade
and sold 2 scopes so far on CGN. Next year for sure!
Happy shopping everybody! Lucky buggers.
:ang

Hey Canam, if you have any cheapo .308 there I'll buy a bunch from you. Would have to be less than $10/20 though. Dunno if you can do that but .50/pop is pretty spendy for copper washed chicom ammo.

waste of time....i didnt find anything of interest............the usual dealers selling used firearms for more than new!!! what did you buy????

Soooo, just for the sake of beating a deaf horse.
You guys that have tables, seriously check the market value of your s**t before asking $550 for a M8 6x36 or $40 for a hotlips magazine. In the past, we had to wade through a few of you jokes, but its ruining the whole experience when 75% of the tables is selling uninteresting junk, overpriced junk, and overpriced current junk. Keep it up, the guys that where worth heading there for aren't coming anymore because they hate sitting anywhere near you. Just cause its a pre'64 doesn't make it worth $1500. The Model 12 was a great firearm, but a unribbed 30" full choke in 75% condition for $600? Seriously? There where 4 of you!
A Ruger M77 tang safety with a B&L 3000 3-9.......wait for it.........$1000!
I tell ya, making our EE look like Value Village is have Gucci and Armani sales at 80% off.
Rant off, but seriously though, you make me ill and are below meth smoking carnies.

I was there today, lots and lots of stuff and people. My head was spinning about halfway through and the wife not being cooperative. Anyway, I am looking for an SKS and case of ammo. I only saw them at one table on for 250 but it was pretty busy and I didn't get a chance to talk with the dealer. Did anyone see any good deals or can they recommend a dealer?

I am going to try to make it back tomorrow morning, unless someone can tell me whether the Powder Keg (or someone else close to Kamloops) has them in stock. Sorry for my ignorance, just moved to Kamloops and not sure what the local shops have to offer.

Thanks

Had a good time as always. Had a great surprise meeting bighorn Chris from here. Walking through and then all the sudden I spot like 20 antique colt saa. Got closer, and low and behold its bighorn Chris's collection.

Was drooling over the 4 3/4" nickel ones. My 5.5" blued is nice but I've dreamed of a nickel one forever. If I was in the market for a excellent saa I wouldn't of hesitated to buy one of his there.

Well the deals were not as good this year but the knowledge these people have is incredible. I Did pickup a new toy at a decent price. I did not know that certain antique pistols do not need a PAL and do not fall under the current rules. A kink of loop hole on these old firearms. Who would of known. Still had a great time and the weather is great. Sunny, Sunny, and more sun.

Powder Keg has SKS in stock plus ammo... I believe they are asking 195 or 199 for the gun.... Wholesale sports up the hill has both too.. .but I think they are asking 179 for the gun....

Couldn't agree more !

That is until I was making the rounds for the fourth time & right in plain view I spot a P17 that buba never got their hands on. All original full wood in nice shape . Had a small sticker of $350 on it . figure the barrel will be worn or pitted . Pick it up & pull the bolt and have a look . LIKE IT WAS NEVER SHOT !. So we settle on $325 flash my card , had over some cash & out to the truck it go's. Wile I writing this post I open the trap door on the butt plate . This thing has the original friggin cleaning kit !!!!!. Now I have to go dig out that old ammo box I have full of bandoliers of pre ww2 3006 ball ammo in 5 rnd stripper clips . Hope my Garand likes its new older brother .
:D

One guy tried to sell me some old ammo for $6/piece, walked away and another guy had it for $2.50 each which was very sweet. I am starting to hate those mom and pop rifles with bolt action and wooden stock and 3-9 cheapo scope, the halls were full of them. PLEASE next year, put them all into one corner so I can avoid them and don't spend most of my time walking. Parking is getting worse, next year there will be parking lot rage - I can smell it already.

I'd say it wasnt as good as last year as well. Lots of old stuff with new prices as said. But I did get a few things I was after for good prices. I would like to say that once again, P&D had the best table in terms of new firearms, next year I'm buying that darn xdm. That and the one table with the remanufactured ammo, had some pretty good prices.
