Kar 98k in 7,62mm

I have an Israel Kar98k in 7,62mm that is missing the magazine follower. I have replaced it with a regular 7,9mm follower from one of my other Kar98s and the 7,62mm rounds seem to be feeding fine. Yet... Could someone who has both a 7,62mm and a 7,9mm tell me if there is a difference in the length of the magazine follower and if possible send me a side-by-side photo.

When the rifles were rebarreled from 8mm to 7.62 all they did was swap the barrel and chamber it. All the original 8mm parts stayed with the rifle.
 
Israeli K98

My current one is boxed-up ready for shipment to new owner, so can't check. But I recall the ones I've owned did have a spacer in front of mag to take up space of shorter 7.62 round. I never checked, but I'd think follower would then be made shorter I'd imagine. I have another Israeli on the way and will check when I receive it.
