Karsten Cheek Rest - Installed (PICS)

I like the look of he karsten over the tac pro . Prairie what stock is that ? Just wondering how well the rest would fit my HS

The stock on my rifle is an HS Precision. It's the OEM stock that comes with the Remington 700 police model. It fit great.

I will vote for the Tac Pro cheekpiece. Easy installation (drill two holes), Canadian made in Toronto and great folks with which to deal.

This thread was not created to espouse one cheek rest over another. Just demonstrating the install and that it went well for people's information.

I don't care if you guys like another product better.

Are you saying the TAC Pro is a better product?

Looks like the Tac Pro does not have the adjustment range of the Karsten cheek rest. It also does not come with material to cover the cheek rest where the Karsten does. It the summer heat or winter cold straight Kydex is a pain whether from sweat or the cold.

I had the same experience with my cheek rest. It was a model A. Excellent service dealing direct with Karsten and a very simple install. Great quality product and also noticed tighter groupings afterward.

Great experience with Karsten's service and cheekrest as well.

Installation tip that may not be in the guide - drill your holes where the stock and cheekrest are parallel (not too far up) to get good grip and avoid slippage.

Thanks, if it wasn't for your thread I wouldn't have known these had existed. Really, really easy to install too. Booya for precision on a budget. Next up is enlarged bolt knob and that mono pod .
