I was always looking at the ks arms, mostly because they’re canadian and I have no doubt they know how to make a winning barrel, so it would be easy to have one shop and it’s nearby.

I only looked at the kauger because Gary was pushing them pretty hard. I was looking at the benchrest model with trigger hanger. The bolt and handle designs are sure nice to look at, but I wasn’t sure about the pinned bolt head, I’d rather a one piece because I’m not switching things around too much.

I was sold on ks arms after I had a chat with Mike. I had a couple little things I wanted changed and he was a wealth of knowledge on barrels, bullets, twists and grooves. I ordered a single shot and he’s going to slab it in a couple places and he put an aluminum rail on it as well. I also sent him a dummy round to cut the freebore where I plan on loading them to length. And I think $1400 for a nitrided action with an integral recoil lug is pretty inexpensive. I’m pretty sure it’ll shoot 0.4moa or better and you never really know until you try. The reviews on ks arms seem pretty good so I’ll see how it goes. I have a 40x stock and an mdt acc here to try so I’ll report back in a month or two.

A friend of mine is also getting ks to build a 6.5prc in a mdt hnt26 long action. Mike was pretty accommodating for him too. It sounds like hes going to put it together for him and setup a spacer in the mag similar to a tikka and maybe move the bolt stop.

They are very popular down in the USA. I've contemplated getting the br3 for a ppc build but ended up finding a bat.

I have only heard great things about them and big horn sales imports them. For their price point I don't think you gonna find anything as customizable as them.
