I currently hunt in Uxbridge and the deer hunting is great and so is the turkey hunting but there are no bear or moose. I have the chance to hunt about 20 minutes north of Fenelon Falls and I was wondering what the hunting is like for turkey, deer, bear and moose. I'd really like to try bear hunting if they are in the area.

Deer, turkey, Bears YES

Moose I might not be 100% correct but I don't think that's far enough north 20min puts you in Coboconk you wont see moose till you hit Kinmount or Norland about 45min north of Fenelon even better would be Minden at 1hr north.

Thats true although the west side of Bobcaygeon doesn't have a season WMU 75 & 74A..but the East side is WMU 60 and does have a season so depending on where this 20min takes the OP there could very well be huntable Moose.

But I don't see a season in the Regs for 60 this year. If you look up the "2010 moose seasons" table in the regs it shows 60 as having "no season" and this is the table for Rifles, Shotguns, Bows and Muzzle-loaders....Then if you look at the "Group size" table you will see you need 15+ to draw a bull tag and no chance for a cow...Go down farther and you will see only 100 tags avail with likely 3000+ hunters applying. I would say the chances of drawing a tag there would be very slim like 0.03%.

As stated above, you'll have to go a little further north for moose - and even then it's hard to get a tag. My parents live just outside of Fenelon Falls and up until about 5 years ago, you rarely saw a bear....not so any more. There seem to be lots in the area and they get good and fat on the corn and beans.....cause quite a mess in some of the fields. My Dad shot a bear 2 years ago and it was very tasty.....even my wife who's not a big fan of game meat liked it. Turkeys seem to be plentiful. If you're deer hunting - WMU 75 is shotgun only.

I've been hunting in area 75 for the past 10 years, and always get my deer, bear, and turkeys. I highly doubt you will see any moose though. I been hunting in Kirkfield, just south of Coboconk, and you should have no problems bagging your animals with a little work and scouting before the season.

There are moose for sure just north east of Bobcaygeon, in around the E108 trails. I almost hit a bull and a cow on my ATV a few years ago. A bull and a cow were standing together in the middle of the trail, and I come ripping around a corner !!! Brakes !!!! Not 100 yrds down the trail another small bull was spotted watching all this action.

There is definitely lots of deer and bear around Bobcaygeon and quite a few moose as well. My parents have a big camp up there, and on the 1000acs they have I have shot both bear and deer there along with one of the other guys shot 1 moose(cow). Tags for moose in that area are pretty hard to get but they can be had if your lucky. Fenlon Falls isn't that far so should have the similar population I would think. Good luck
