Shot my Kriss Vector Gen 2 9mm for the first time and had some problems with the KCI 10/33 9mm Glock mags. They would not stay seated and would drop out after cycling a couple rounds.

Actually a factory Glock 10 rd mag did this once too.

Curiously enough I had no problems with the KCI 10/50 9mm Glock "snail" drum.

Can anyone share their experiences?

Thanks

Actually I take back my previous reply. Shot mine yesterday and had my mags (glock & pmags) both do the same thing. Not happy at all with this!!! Some help with this please.

There are slow motion vids on youtube which show the gun flexing under recoil, including one where the mag falls out during firing. I had assumed that the gen 2s were cured of that problem... KCI mags suck, but in this case it is probably the gun.

I agree, this could be your problem. I noticed that all mags made by Glock fit tighter.

Well, this is the first I've heard of this issue (torsion under firing stress causing the mags to drop)

Maybe it's a break-in type of thing, or maybe I need to switch my stance, posture and grip

Kind of unsettling knowing the price and reputation of this firearm. Could it be related to the proprietary recoil system...?

Do a google search for "Kriss Vector frame flex". Nothing to do with break in. Shooting more rounds will not change the design.

Has this issue been examined any further?

I talked to the dealer who I bought it from and the sales guy assured me he hasn't heard of the issue before. And this dealer has moved a LOT of the 9mm Gen II's, I believe.

I have a gen 2 Kriss vector.

The mag it came with was an OEM 10-rounder from Glock - made from the start to hold only 10 rounds. I noticed that as the mag spring started to get broken in, the last round or two would nose-dive into the feed ramp. Bought another, had same problem

Bought one of the glock pmags, would not seat properly. Try to release the bolt and the mag falls out.

What did work was an original 17-round Glock 17 mag pinned to 10 rounds. Bought mine from Northern Republic Magazine. Bought two more and no problems at all.

Seems like it is a problem with the follower in the "made-to-be-10-rounds" mags

By the way, put some locktite on the set screw that holds the shroud onto the barrel. As that screw loosens, so will your groups. Once I resolved the mag issue (which would push bullets back into their cases or dent the bullets) and the shroud issue, the gun will, with quality ammo, put 3 rounds into an inch at 50 yards.

good luck
