I wanted to ask what's the consensus about the KCI glock 17 mags?
any good/bad experiences?

they are half the price of glock mags which makes them appealing.

ill be shooting IPSC, and it is important for the mag not to break every time i drop it...

One of the nice things about pinned hi caps, Glock or KCI, is that they allow you to load 10 rounds without the tightness found in 10 shot Glock mags. Some 10 shot Glock mags are so tight with no play that when you do a reload the mag will not lock up completely and it falls out. Pinned hi cap mags have more play in them and do not have this problem.

Mags

As with any mag with a polymer base, if dropped on cement it may break the base pad. I own 3 of them and they work just fine. Easy to load, drop free from firearm, functions perfectly.
IMHO

$10 each here:

Some places have them for $7-8 each in the US.

I know importing is expensive and all.........

A buddy and I went halves on a 10 pack of them from Canada Ammo. They are great mags for the price! And like other posters have pointed out, the pinned mags are definitely easier to load than the factory 10 rounders. And KCI has done a very nice job on the pinning; the rivet is barely noticeable unlike most pinned mags.

Buy some, you will not be disappointed.
