Nothing seems to work with those blood suckers, but I can confirm Thermacell is excellent for mosquitoes/blackflies

A Henry Garden Gun works great on pests!

A little expensive per shot, but I've got good at wing shooting wasps, yellow jackets, and bald-faced black jackets. They have no idea what hit them when they disintegrate.

Honestly can’t say enough good things about Thermacells. Whether on the porch or out in the bush moose hunting, they just work (if it’s not windy) even in northern Saskatchewan where the mosquitos are like pterodactyls.
