Kel-Tec add ons?

Red Lion is sweet but Im keepin this rifle on the cheap side. Just my truck/coyote banger.

Cheers!!

Fair enough and sorry waste was the wrong word. The Kel Tec short forend is still a suitable upgrade. Way back when I purchased mine it came from Wanstalls. At that time reliable gun had a few as well.

Don't think I'd bother trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Kel-tec's are not worth spending money on.

Well you are entitled to your opinion and are free to start your own thread convincing people not buy them. I enjoy the rifle and am looking for parts. Wanna grow your 18 000 post count...do it elsewhere.

And what in your opinion is worth spending money on? What do you have in your collection that you deem worthy of turning into a silk purse?

I have 3 kel-tec products and am happy with all of them, even my sub-2000 is a reliable and accurate firearm. My RFB and KSG are both awesome and I don't regret either purchase. You should try gettig out of your mom's basement and actually shooting some of them before you say they aren't worth personalizing. Just because you read something on the internet doesn't make it fact. Not every kel-tec is junk, just like most manufacturers there have been a few issues which were taken care of under warranty but for the most part they are solid firearms.
I'm happy with mine with very few changes but if this guy wants to spend a few hundred dollars making it the way he wants why try to talk him out of it?

Just wondering how someone gets 18000+ posts and still has a feedback score of 0? Don't you buy and sell firearms and accessories? It's fun you should try it. Just watch for the retail+25% deals on the EE.

If you're lucky they were.

Other than a couple guys who's sub2000 front sight was misaligned from the factory I haven't heard of any issues that weren't taken care of.
Did you have a different experience?
None of mine have had any issues and I think my experience is more the norm than the people with problems.
Watching videos of guys with KSG issues I can say that most of them are having problems because they aren't stroking the slide properly.
Most of the issues I've seen and heard with reliability issues with the RFB are from guys that don't understand the gas system and just need to adjust it correctly to remedy their issues.

The problem with the internet and forums like this is that people with issues immediately come on and rant about something rather than talk to the manufacturer and get support. Then the sheeple think it's true and use it as an excuse not to buy a firearm they weren't going to buy anyway and tell the story over and over to others to warn them away. Meanwhile the people that have good experiences are out shooting and can't be bothered to post about how happy they are with their new toy.

We all need to read the reviews and learn from others but understand that just because a couple out of a thousand have a problem that doesn't mean they are all junk.

Yeah, it was actually Vault that prevented me from buying a SU-16. I emailed them regarding the broken receivers I had seen online, and their response was, "we've only seen about 10 of them, and 9 were shooting reloads." To ME, that reads, "we've seen a few of them, but only one was covered under warranty."

I can tell you that mine broke while shooting factory ammo. I've never shot a reloaded .223 in any of my rifles. My SU-16 was well cared for and was always cleaned after each trip out.
