Kel-tec bullpup shotgun

Interestingly enough with the Neostead, you can select left tube, or right tube like the Kel tec, but you also get a "alternating" option

I think NutnFancy mentioned something about it would chance the classification if it selected the magazine tubes automatically?.

Neostead did it, why didn't Kel tec? watching the vid it seems like it's a big thing to take the shotgun off your shoulder, stick your finger in the back and flip a tiny switch... That's a nasty design flaw in my eyes.

When the Waves of Zombies are comin' at you, I don't want to worry about flipping a switch...

There was a concern that if it switched automatically it would be considered a 14 round magazine by some states with capacity limits on shotguns (even pumps).

I am sure sombody will come out with an auto tube switch soon enough

Maybe someone will but more complicated designs are often more prone to failure than simple ones. There seems to be a lot of talk about the mag selector switch on here, and while I do think that seems to be in an awkward location, it is still faster to flip a switch for seven fresh rounds than load another seven in the mag manually.

On a side note, this shotgun looks boss but I don't know if I would choose it over a 590a1 or an 870. Besides being unproven it looks like it would be heavy and possibly expensive (probably over $1000 but we'll see).

Unproven, yes. But "looks like" need not be an opinion, as weights are published.

It is lighter than a 590A1. KSG - 6.9 lbs empty. 590A1 - 7.4 pounds. Being much shorter, the weight will be closer to the body and therefore more manageable to boot.

Wow that is pretty light and I do like the compactness of the bullpub design. From watching the nutnfancy review I still have some questions about the durability of the gun but hopefully the final version will be tougher.

who else other then Wanstalls has the waiting list..?
Will the final version have chokes? any idea on MSRP yet..?

Its still WAYYY fater then loading up your 6-9 shot regular shotgun again :p

MSRP is expected to be $880 US...it's already cropping up quite abit lower than that in preorder places down south. I wouldn't expect less here (but I'm hoping anyhow).

Guys, less price speculation - more pressure on getting an FRT in place!

Hopefully we can get a prototype up here for evaluation ASAP ...otherwise it does not matter how much it costs, we can't buy one anyway.

This is the coolest shotgun I've ever seen. I certainly hope they are sold in Canada (non-restricted). If it's restricted... There is no way I'll drop big bucks for a "Hot House Flower". It needs to be dragged into the bush... smash clay, geese, deer, bear, and the occasional zombie.

I read about this shot gun in this months Guns and Ammo, the artical had a note that said there would be choke tubes for it.

We think alike. I'm on one list and I hope I can get in on one of the first shipments.

With regard to the geese, we're going to have to come up with some way of plugging those mag tubes. I'm thinking just block one completely and leave room for two in the other.

Or just leave it at home for the waterfowl, (might be a bit tough tracking a target with it anyway) and take my 870.;)

As for the clay; I can't wait to see the looks on some faces at the line.:p
