I believe I beat Brordo to the store by about 5 minutes on Thursday. Had a long drive back to Okanagan though. Here is a couple comparison shots of the RFB and Tavor since this thread really needs more pics.

Wow! I have a tavor and love how compact it is, and am eagerly awaiting my rfb. From your pics the RFB seems way smaller than even the tavor! Can't wait!

So that's who was at Wanstalls? And you have a Tavor? That's just great...I'm going to have to get another job now :p. Right now I've got the Aimpoint ML3 w/LaRue base on my RFB...can't wait to see how she runs.

The RFB is non restricted?! When are the next batch coming in? I have to have one!!!

After this guy buddy!! I was #4 for the first batch at Wanstall's, now I'm #1 baby!!! :D

Man.... I want to put that baby beside my XCR, Tavor, Swiss Arms, 858 and my M14 Doctored M305 Shorty (which is supposed to be on the way to me now...)! Man, that will be some family photo! I figure they must all be next generation offspring of my R93 and my M14! :p

I cannot WAIT!!!! :ar15: :D :ar15:

I'm hoping to put some rounds downrange tomorrow so hopefully I'll have more to say.

Compared to the Tavor the RFB feels more substantial. It might be the top cover? It seems to handle about the same but I think I like the Tavor bolt release better. I think I need to do some "testing" to find out for sure!

Now I see why some of the hunters here went nuts over the RFB. Imagine a non-res rifle that is the same length as a man's arm, and fires a round that can mess up a bear real good, and can excel in both brush hunting and open field hunting.

My range was closed but I headed out on into the hills to do a little "testing."

I was surprised by how little recoil there was. My mag seems to be pinned at 5 not 5.5 since it won't lock in place with 5 rounds on a closed bolt. The forward ejection is handy, if you are shooting at any kind of up slope (my target was maybe 10' higher than me on a hillside) the brass just collects in the chute waiting to be dumped into your hand, on the flat it dumps in a small pile. The trigger is way better than my Tavor, no "sponge" at all. Accuracy seems good but I didn't do anything too demanding. I can't wait to try it out off the bench at 100 yards though.

I'm still not convinced about the bolt release but mag changes aren't as bad as I was expecting.

Overall verdict so far: Well worth the wait!

The RFB with a CZ (with a shiny new BC Tactical handguard, also from Wanstall's) for an idea how compact the RFB is.

This is killing me! I'm just sitting here waiting for the call from p&d.

If I worked at one of these gun shops I'd be the one volunteering to make that call. Of course with my version I'd be calling to let you know the good news that your "SU2000" just came in as you ordered. RFB? I'm sorry we can't do any upgrades. I can put you on the list though. I think it's 8 months now.... I'd need a video camera though at your residence to put on Youtube.

Thanks Gary! The post lady delivered my RFB today. It looks awesome. I can't wait to take it to the range tomorrow. Here are some quick photos.
