KS7 Gen2 is already in Canada, currently retails for $900 after discount.
Changes:
  • Integrated Picatinny Top Rail: The original M-LOK carry handle and iron sights have been replaced by a monolithic M1913 Picatinny rail, allowing users to easily mount their preferred optics, red dots, or aftermarket iron sights.
  • Integrated Forend Rail: The pump forend now includes a 5-slot Picatinny-style accessory rail on the underside for mounting accessories like vertical grips or lights. A flush-fit cap is included for users who prefer a seamless look when the rail is not in use.
  • Smoother Action & Durability: Internal components have been reinforced, and the pump-action cycling mechanism has been refined for a noticeably smoother operation and increased durability.
  • Soft recoil pad

Curious, what would you need a barrel longer than stock 18.5"?
A bunch of reasons, of varying merit and value.

First is extended capacity. The 18.5" KS7 is 26.1" long and holds 7x 2-3/4" shells. My 14" 870 with its stock folded (so basically unfirable) is barely over 26", and has a 4 round capacity. Give the KS7 a 28" barrel and it can hold ~11 rounds, give it a 38" barrel, and it'll hold around ~15 rounds, and still be 2" shorter than a 28" barelled Remingotn 870. Although that barrel length is beyond excessive, it would make it a very interesting trap gun.

Second, the long one just looks cool. More of a why not that anything else.

Keltec already makes a shotgun that addresses the need for more capacity. Adding more barrel would completely defeat the whole point of the ks7 as a "shotgun that packs full-size power into a compact, lightweight platform. Measuring just over 26 inches and balancing naturally over the grip, it’s built for control and maneuverability in tight spaces."

But they also offer the KSG25, which is way goofier than a "KS13".

I have a gen 1 - it's fit for purpose the way it is.
I've looked at getting the accessory pic rail, and it just doesn't make much sense.
The only thing it needs imho is a decent light and throw switch.
Getting a longer one with a 28" barrel? I doubt that would sell.
Shooting trap, even an extended one? lol ok.

It's too bad they didn't reduce the length of pull while they were at it, although at 13 inches, it's not bad already.

I'd like to know too. My guess in the meanwhile is a sling mount?
These are the bolt carrier transfer/extension bars. They’re similar to the KSG design (part 185). The front of each bar protrudes outward to connect to the polymer grip, so those ‘rectangular buttons’ you’re seeing are actually the protruding ends of the bars
