Kel-tec KSG is a great design. But you can increase the reliability.
When the pump is fully at the rear the last 1/8 is really hard almost impossible to stroke. Causing short stroke and failure to feed. If you don't go all the way back the shell lifter can't pick-up the next round.
Solution is simple cut the small lump over the slide release (just over the trigger-guard). Or cut a notch in the rear of the pump large enough to clear the lump and the slide release. 5-10 min work.
The KSG became so much more easy to pump all the way to the rear. The shell lifter can do is job; run all the way down to pickup a new round and lift it to the chamber. No need to push like crazy. And less risk to break the side of the pump by putting too much pressure
