I am looking to get a gun that I can transport on my motorcycle. I was thinking of a kel tec sub 2000. What are the pros and cons of this gun. Are they any good? I have heard kel tec makes crappy guns , but this ones seems to get good reviews. Any good / bad experiences with them?

Lots of people ##### about them, but I've had good luck.

I can't say they're worth the $600 we pay for them up here, and I can't say that Vaults warranty is worth a damn, because a lot of people have had problems with them, but I like mine.

That is exactly what I bought mine for, and to use as a range training tool. If you can find one that works well, go for it. I got unlucky. Mine has been sitting at a repair depot for almost 3 months. When they work well, owners are quite happy with them. They are very accurate, durable, and compact.

What are you going to be using it for?
just plinking. I thought about a ruger 10/22 takedown but I already have a 10/22 standard model. really want to combine my two favorite sports. riding and shooting. The plan is to take a nice morning ride then stop at the range for some plinking. It would be nice if I didn't have to go all the way home put the bike away. load up the truck and drive to the range.

Why limit yourself to a sub2000? I frequently take my toys to the range on my motorcycle.... during riding season.
What guns are you using and how are you transporting them on your bike? I don't really feel comfortable riding with any of my rifles strapped to my back and don't really want any "extra attention" drawn to me.

I also own the Ruger 10/22 Takedown. Nice idea, and has been much more reliable that I thought. It comes in a nice travel case that you can tie down to the back of your seat, or slide into a backpack. It can probably fit in any topbox.

When folded my sub 2000 fits in a standard size backpack. Doesn't draw any attention that way. That's also how I carry it on my 4 wheeler when I'm back in the woods.
I really like mine. It's worked flawlessly and is very accurate. Also it's a blast to shoot!! Friend of mine bought one too. His has worked flawlessly as well
I see quite a few showing up on the EE for reasonable prices.

Here's mine

Get a hard case and just bungie cord it to the back. That's what I've done. I use 2 bungies and its never slid loose, but you could always use tie-down straps too.

I was going to suggest a G17 with a gen2 KPOS....but it appears you're looking for a non-restricted.
I also take my DA Backpacker. I've been thinking about getting the "inserts" to shot other calibers out of it but don't know how good they are.
