Yeah I get that, but when your guns gimmick is having a magazine capacity that's higher than normal for .22 pistols it feels kinda pointless considering it'll have to be pinned to the same capacity as a lot of other frankly better .22 pistols, you might as well get one of the better guns than a jam-o-matic that lacks it's it selling point because our dumb laws.

Not really though. The selling point of most guns isn't magazine capacity, most semi auto rifles these days take stanag mags, but that's not often the selling point of these rifles, it's a nice feature for sure, but it's out of convenience given the ubiquity of AR mags, it's not what makes the guns special though. The P17 is special though because of its magazine capacity, all the most popular .22 pistols feed from 10 round single stack magazines, the S&W Victory, Ruger Mark whatever, Browning Buckmark, etc, because making a high capacity .22 pistol mag is a bit tricky due to it being a rimmed cartridge, but kel tec and taurus both figured it out, that's what makes these guns special, but they're just like any other .22 pistol now thanks to our laws, they're no longer special so you may as well get one of the ones with a good reputation like the aforementioned.
Meh.... my cz kadet is the best in my eyes BUT I like having variety and options in life instead of only the same handful to choose from
most guns in USA sure, but in Canada we get what we get when it comes to restricted.
when it comes to purchasing firearms i try to be as budget conscious as possible, purchasing several in the same calibre and looking for multiple platforms using the same magazines. I cant throw a lot of money around and its nice to see options. Even if you arent interested, it can bring the price of other things down for competition or otherwise.
its advertised as a budget friendly compact/carry training pistol. Nowhere on the site does it say high capacity.
Companies produce single stack magazines to produce cheaper products. No one wants a $50-100+ magazine for a $200 gun. These two figured it out on their own dime but are focusing on their game and not what others are doing.
AR mags are 100% a selling feature on many firearms, just like glock mags often are in 9mm rifles. I know several people who purchased firearms due to already owning magazines for them. Glock AR lower, M1-9 carbine and mossberg MVP for a couple examples off the top of my head.
Disregarding a new entry into the industry due to the fact its not "special" due to one incredibly common selling feature, albeit uncommon in this caliber seems reductive.
Actually, in the states a major selling point of many handguns IS the capacity. It's a moot point here because most of em take 10, but in the states where carry is legal the difference between 10, 12, and 17 are big selling features. Of course very few people carry a 22lr...
There is no compliant barrel currently in production for these. Although there is a bit of demand for the pistol, it doesn't warrant the R&D of a Canadian compliant barrel, compounded by there is no current inventory of said gun either.
