Kel-tec Rdb/Rfb owners.

Vault Distribution is the distributor. I am using the Smith they suggested. So there can be no #####ing about the Smith.

In wanted an RDB for a long time cause it's a cool idea and I'm a lefty. My experience with the rifle has pretty much ensured this will be my one and only Keltec product. I got an X95 to replace it and am pretty happy with that rifle so far.

Right on,
I could not remember who the distributor was/is..... Are you allowed to share the name of the smith they recommended?
Let us know how it works out!

The basic design of the RDB is far simpler than that of the Tavor X95 or Tavor 7. In the mechanical world where simpler generally = better, the RDB has a distinct edge over the Tavor. With its superior operating system design, accuracy and trigger, combined with its much lower ($1300!) price and equal reliability, the RDB has much to commend it in direct competition with the IWI Tavor X95. The only down-side to the RDB that I could ascertain was the difficulty associated with clearing a double-feed or other feeding obstruction in the breech area, which is difficult to observe and physically rectify on the Keltec product. Aside from that? It is absolutely good to go with zero hesitation to recommend - especially at the $1500 price point!!

Good assessment and I whole heartedly agree.

In many ways dealing with IRG is the better way to go, better price and if you have a problem they will send it back to Kel-tec themselves to fix it.

That was my exact experience.

My RDB was slam-firing and doubling.

IRG sent it right back to the Keltec factory in Florida to get repaired.

Works great now.

I ended up getting an X95, which I swore I'd just keep totally stock, as a backup ...................... By now, it is easy worth double what I paid for the RDB. :bangHead:

Mine never slam fired but it doubled a bunch of times and then emptied a full mag, which was the final straw that got it sent off to the Smith.

Mine would slam-fire when I did the "HK-slap" on the charging handle.

Good times. LOL.

How much you have sunk into it vs. what it's worth are two completely different things...:)

OK, that's fair enough. Doesn't make me feel any better about it regardless. I just try to keep in mind it is a very reliable and rugged rifle that will last me decades. And the govt doesn't know where it is. :)
