KEL-TEC RFB 7.62 mm HIGH EFFICIENCY RIFLE

Interesting. I'm not sure I like the forward ejection though. My gut tells me there's potential for the empty cartridges to get jammed up in there. I wonder what happens then? Plus I suspect the cost would be fairly high for a rifle like this. Then there is the issue of the US not allowing exports.

Accuracy with the longer bull barrel? Durability? Engineering? Quality? Cost? A lot of questions right now.

Very interesting design. I'm not sure why they make the ejection tube so long? You could angle it to either side and keep it shorter to reduce the possibility of gumming up.

Also it looks like it has a longer LOP than even the tavor, could be an issue for smaller guys.

You have to compare the length to a .308 rifle not a .223. The .308 rifles are always a lot bigger. Looks wise it's a lot shorter than my DPMS LR-308 which is a fair comparison. My LR-308 AR-10 clone is a lot bigger overall than my Stag 2T. This doesn't just include the barrel. The actual receiver and uppers are bigger as well for the .308 versions.

I do like it. The ergonomics look good. I'd prefer the mag release to be in front of the mag rather than behind. Other than that it looks good.

The price though. It's retailing for $1800 in the US. So about $2500 here in Canada? That is if we can even get them.

Then there's the quality/reliability and my number one criteria, the Accuracy. I'd want an accuracy version. A 24 inch bull barrel. I have some concerns with this department when I see how they mounted the bipod. I have yet to see an accurate rifle mount a bipod off the barrel. Plus reading about it, the barrel actually isn't free floated. It's the spine of the rifle. I guess we'll have to see.
