Kel Tec RFB Range Reports

I don't have a range report yet. I just got it home. But here's a couple of pics to tide you over. I'm thinking about using it in the Tactical Rifle shoot in Abbotsford at the end of the month. Should be good for a few grins.

Hey Merc...did your RFB come with that small 5rounder? Not a pinned 20?

Yep, that's what it came with. I picked up an extra one while I was at the store. They're a bit difficult to get in and out one handed a first, but once I'd done it a bunch of times things started to smooth out. Now I can can change mags one handed smoothly. I'm gonna get several 20/5 mags for 3-gun matches. The longer mags will be much easier to grab from a tac vest. The short ones will be great for hunting. Neat and tidy.

RFB Completed

No range report as of yet as I was waiting to complete my optics options but it is done.

Millet DMS "donut of death" optics with Burris PERP mount and Magpul BUIS set.

It is tight but there is just a wee bit of space between the BUIS and the optics.

The relief is just perfect and the PERP pops right off for the use of the BUIS.

Here is a side-by-side size comparison with the QBU 88.

Is the scope high enough with that set up? I'm finding it hard to get just the right height for my 3-9x scope. Also is that the Recon mount?

Does the sight picture just fall in line, or do you have to press your cheek and look up towards your eyebrow? I'm obviously looking for something perfect and if this setup has the right height, then it may be just the one piece mount I'm looking for to put my Burris Fullfield II on.

It is the AD Recon mount. I really like these mounts, I've got one on my XCR with a Millet DMS in it; rock solid. As far as height goes it seems to line up just right for me, for both scopes/rifles combinations.
