Kel-Tec RFB

I do have Vault's sheet on the RFB and it states the MSRP will be $2499...that's about $600 more than down south...but with the slightly longer barrels and getting them here I think that might be about the right price...I'm definitely down for one!

I have seen the US wholesale price. If Vault can get it to Canadian dealers for a final retail of $2499 that is a very good price.

Hmmm... I've never heard of this Vault place. It seems odd that a KelTec would be anywhere CLOSE to shipping these to Canada, given they can't keep up with demand in the US. There are less than a thousand made right now (what I've heard).

I'm VERY much excited about getting one, but I'm not holding my breath. My guess is we won't see any until late 2011, but that's just a guess! :)

Just an update for you. Vault has been waiting very patiently for our first major shipment from Kel-Tec. All the Canadian version firearms are manufactured and ready to ship to us, and in fact were supposed to ship this past Friday. Kel-Tec has gone through a nightmare in a half this last month or so, getting set up with the United States, Department Of State. This is a first time for Kel-Tec to officially export to Canada and they needed to set up an account with DOS. We found out last week that three of four permits were returned due to clerical errors on Kel-Tec's part. Kel-Tec is on top of the re submissions, and committed to doing what it takes to get their product into the Canadian market through Vault Distribution Inc.

This is what was told to me on Friday gentleman from Kel-Tec, and I will let everybody know when I have more information.

Vault is a distributor, not a retailer, so you'll have to nag your favorite store to contact Vault and order. I can't even afford ammo, so I'm just going to secretly hate all of you... ;)

I bet we will get it at over 3K. Remember vault will pay probably close to retail for them and then whoever buys from them pays another price that includes profit for vault and then we pay that price plus the profit for whatever store. Not to mention this is a possibly non-restricted black rifle in 308 so it will be priced according to demand, which seems to be high. One importer means no competition, meaning less lean competitive pricing.
 
We have five or six stores across Canada that have expressed great interest in becoming stocking dealers of the Kel-Tec line. We have not landed this product yet, so have taken no official orders and wont until product is on the plane headed for Canada. I will confirm that we are going to try to have a $2499 MSRP on the RFB retail, give or take a few dollars ether way. Anybody interested can email me and I will let you know the stores we have so far.

Keep in mind that Vault Distribution has been working on this deal for well over a year. We have a very strong commitment from Kel-Tec that they will do every thing in their power to get these firearms to Vault for the Canadian market. As I said earlier in this thread all the Canadian versions are manufactured and ready to ship. Thats all I can tell you at this time.
 
Emailed Vault and the response for those of us in BC is that it looks like it will be Reliable and Wanstalls if/when the RFB comes (at least they expressed interest). Sounds good to me...money already put aside waiting for this bad boy!!!

Why do so many people think 'We are Canada, we come last'.........

Sometimes you know the right people....maybe this "Vault" guy is dating someones daughter.... who knows:)

But he is an importer, he said his order...how ever he got it, it does not matter, is ready for him because of an exclusive distributor deal with Kel-Tec.

Get over it.

##### and moan about being a forgotten Canadian in November if they don't show up.


Is there a number of how many could be coming in?
