Kel-Tec SU-22 finally in Canada!

Would the PLR-22 or su-22 barrel swap with the su-22? Yes I know I'd need the su-16 internals to go with the barrel.
Having the 10.1" pistol barrel and C stock would be interesting. Swapping barrels would shorten it by 6". I wonder about the C stock and if it's shorter as well?

when its folded and has the c stock it can still shoot so that would make it a restricted rifle

im wondering how hard it is to change the barrel and want to know what the length of the gun is with the folding trigger stock and a 10.1" barrel, if that makes length and it isnt to hard to change the barrel then im in

I read on the ktog forum that the c stock folded is longer than stock length. I've messaged kel tec about the barrel swap.
Will post when I get a reply!
From what I've found so far, it doesnt look good.

yea but look at the pictures and info on the keltec site.

16" barrel and folding trigger stock (which is what they are sold as now) is 24.9"

16" barrel and the C stock is 25.5"

so a .6" difference according to keltec, not really enough to make up for losing 6" of barrel

I wonder if it's press fit in? There must be a way to swap barrels incase you get a dud, but like you said, a gunsmith might have to do it.
Gurr would be great to be able to swap the stock barrel for the PLR-22 or the Su-16.

So, I see them in Canada for $500, and in the USA for $290-$350.

Our dollars are about par.

What is the explanation for the price difference? I know there is one.... customs or something..paper work...blah blah. I simply want to know what it is :)

ps, if you know where a fellow could get one for under $400 let me know ;b

One word (Vault) They jack up the prices since they have the exclisive rights to import to canada. I do know each gun is about $150 for paperwork. Still having a monoply on the brand isn't right! I think anyone who is willing to fill out the needed paperwork themselves should be able to buy from kel-tec, however this isn't the case. Wish someone with law background would fight is!

So got my su-22 in today. Stripped it, cleaned it, oiled it.
15 rounds with NO issues. Ten of those rounds were as fast as I could pull the trigger.
I was shooting dynapoint thinking it would jam like in my mossberg! Again, no issues.
Will do a slight trigger job on it but I'm very happy with it!
I put the gun back together with NO issues, if you watch the reviews, people complain about the reassembly.
They shouldn't, was easy as pie! I bet those people also have clocks that flash 12:00 all day!!!!!!
The only thing I wish was the bolt hold open when a mag was out worked and that the 22mags fit the 223 mag holder.

who has the rights?

I guess I'll repeat myself, you can't swap the barrels, they are literally molded into the plastic of the receiver. If there is a repair issue only the Kel Tec factory can help you there.

$150 for paperwork on every gun? I've bought several brand new guns in the last year (Ruger, Browning, Remington) that were exactly or very close to the prices in the states, so I agree that someone (likely Vault) is gouging us on Kel Tecs...

please confirm:

every time you want to fold this gun you need to take the PIN out

right?

So if I want to put this in a backpack for transportation Ive a pin in my pocket...which I will lose.

I love this gun but that pin has me worried.... maybe go rugger 10 22 takedown.

I wanted tactical thou

Sorry, yes, you do need to completely remove the pin to fold it, but you can put it back in the hole once folded. I’m hoping they come out with one with a ring on it that can be attached to a screw or something. Some people have taken the pin to the hardware store to try to get a hitch pin.

Just ordered one and now need the AR stock, any of you guys know where I can find one??

I got mine from here... but they seem to be out of stock too. But it was the only place I could find with the adapter only sans stock.
