Kel-Tec SU16 Barrel size

I'd like to buy Kel-Tec SU16 and I would like to thread the barrel to accept my large collection of CZ858 muzzle breakes. Please would anyone who already owns the rifle would tell me what is the barrel diameter at the muzzle and 6 inches from the muzzle

Not sure about 6" up but the muzzle is perfect size for threading to same size as CZ barrel. There's a collar around the barrel just behind the front site that's quite a bit larger than the barrel that would have to be removed if you wanted to put something over the barrel.
 
I'm looking at buying a su-16 too and I also want to thread the barrel. Has anyone done this and what did you get charged to do this?

If you haven't bought one yet, I'd be calling wolverine supplies and check with them how much to get the barrel threaded at the time of purchase.
 
I bought one of these and called a few places in alberta to check about getting the barrel threaded. Both places I called said the space infront of the sight was too small to thread. They also mentioned the sight cannot be removed from the barrel. I spoke to Alberta Tactical, and a guy at the shooting center in Calgary. I actually called The Vault first to see if they could recommend someone. Both people I spoke with said that I wasnt the first person looking for this to be done.
 
Well looks like I'm wrong actually. There is another SU-16 thread in here and it has some photos of one without the sight, and with a muzzel break installed.
 
Just remember threading a kel tec barrel voids the warranty. The front site is just plastic, cut it off and underneath is a collar, a little heat from a heat gun and it comes right off.
 
Why cut off that which comes off with 2 set screws. The front site on mine was alloy and the collar is part of the barrel. It doesn't come off. It's more of a permanent ridge.
 
Pretty sure what you said factionrr is for the american su16, they had to heat and cut the front sight off their rifles. Not sure if they still do or not.

The flash hider in the picture is a Yankee Hil Phantom.

It's not threaded on.

I drilled the threads out of it to the diameter of the barrel, then drilled and tapped the side of it for two small set screws. It just slides on and the set screws tighten into two small dimples I put in the barrel.

If you look real close you'll see them on the bottom of the fh.

Nothing on my rifle voids the KelTec warranty.
