Kel Tec SU22

Anyone here or see these in person? What do you think the chances are of getting something like this little 22LR rifle in? They are no Ar15 or any other look alike rifle (well sort of)... they retail for what looks to be $400 USD.

First I've heard of them, but wow.... What a difference a stock makes. The first picture is ###y, the second one is fugly.

I like how the Sig 522 and this Kaltec SU22 both have magazines that make it look more like a 5.56 rifle than a rimfire.

I believe the SU22 uses the same magazines as one of the AR15 .22lr conversion kits.

And yeah, that stock makes a HUGE difference.

That tube above the barrel, is that a gas piston system like on a SKS?

IIRC it hinges right behind the mag well, allowing the strock to fold up to the barrel.

Looks pretty decent, but if the Umarex/Colt M4 is available and non-restricted, nobody will be lining up for one.

The US won't export rifles with folding stocks, so we would probably get the fugly version.

And I was under the impression that the spring rod was used for returning the bolt to battery as the system is recoil operated, not gas... but I could be wrong.

The video I posted was for the PLR-16, their .223 handgun, but the grip opens up the same way.

If I could, I'd buy the SU-16 in a heartbeat...
