So, I'm not a big fan of .22 semis., especially black ones, but damn..something about this rifle gets my blood flowing;

Not a big fan of this guy, but I watched this whole video last night. (it's long)

Really hoping this beauty makes it's way to Canada, and that it's non-restricted when it gets here. If they're coming, I better get the garage sale started!

Hey, I started this thread! ;) Seriously though, I only need/want one .22semi if that, I'd better sell my mint 10/22 before these hit the market!

So do you know when these are coming to Canada? I only found someone selling mags for it, but it's not useful without the gun.

Quick answer~no. I did PM or email someone in another Kel-Tec thread a while back, I'd have to dig a bit to find it. If memory serves, I was told that there is a chance this rifle will be here within a year. Look around CGN, I think one of the sponsors here is looking at bringing in the SU16 in .223.

I'm not interested if it ends-up being restricted, but it doesn't share (or seem to) anything with the AR platform. That said, it's black instead of walnut-stocked...so who knows.

Being restricted would certainly put a damper on things as I'm not going to buy a 22 just for the range. I hear you on the ridiculous rules on lr stuff like the gsg and mp22.

Yep, especially .22s A Kel-Tec (or MP15-22, or Colt M4) shoots the same ammo., the same way a 10/22 does..only in a fancier costume. As for the aesthetics~I don't mind exposed fasteners on black gun, especially one that only weighs 4 lbs. Looks like it would be a fun, light rifle for long hikes.

My friend just got his from Wanstalls, It's 9mm and non-restricted and is now his favorite rifle. It's got lot's of plastic but for what it is, I was impressed enough to order one. It's really small when folded up, 16-18 inches I think.
Looked and felt pretty cool.

That's the Sub2000. The SU22 is a .22lr rifle.

I think Vault Distribution is one of the Kel-Tec distributors in Canada. I sent them an email asking about the SU-22, they sent me one back saying "all the questions you have can be answered in our forum". So, I had a look in there (didn't register/post) but saw nothing on the model.

Interesting customer service. :confused: Wonder WHO will be bringing this gun in, and when?

That's the worst customer service I have ever heard of in response to a simple question!!!
I'd buy an su-22 IF they come to Canada, AND they're non-restricted, but I suspect otherwise on the latter :(

I wonder if the RCMP flip a coin on these matters. As my grandfather used to say to me when flipping a coin; "Heads I win, tails you lose" :)

The SU-22 is just unusual enough, non-AR-looking, no videos on YouTube of it running full-auto... it might just stand a chance of being non-restricted. Of course, that might mean it'll have a 30" barrel to get here NR.. :D
