Don't be worried.
My brother has a few hundred rounds through his new Gen 2 Sub2000 and it's flawless. My cousin uses his to hunt without a failure.
They're great guns, and fun to tinker with and shoot.

Yup. Zero issues. Just stay away from aluminum case and anything hot, like +P.
