2 Questions on the RFB:

1. I assume there is enough room in the receiver that an unfired cartrige can be sent down ejection chute, not just an empty case?

2. If you were to send 2 or more loaded cartriges down the shoot one after another, what would be the chances of the second rounds bullet puncturing the primer on the first round? It would seem a bit like a tube magazine on a lever action, only with rounds being flung down the tube onto each other rather than having constant spring pressure pressing them together.

Are you sure that is a Canadian model - it still says 7.62mm. Perhaps a Canadian spec barrel in a US receiver?

After rereading post #125 it does look a lot like a Canadain model; it has just not been through the milling and re-etching yet...

I don't think I mentioned on here, but as of Thursday October 14th Kel-Tec was working on milling the 7.62mm Nato off the sides of the Canadian model RFB's, and laser etching them with .308 Win. One more thing to appease the Department Of State.

I'm sure. I believe that Kel-Tec is correcting the markings / chamberings as we speak, based on statements here by Vault.

Good question! I think the chance of one cartridge setting off another in the ejection tube would be small, as there would normally be nothing holding the first cartridge(or anything in front of it) in place, nor is there a spring or other significant force(gas?) to push on the second round.

However It seems to me that there would be little reason to dump more than one round into the tube without removing the magazine first...

Having said that, I'm also interested in seeing how the ejection system works in field conditions such as freezing rain, snow, mud etc..

I agree, I can't ever see there being a 'need' for it, but stranger things have happened.

If you point the rifle down the cases should fall clear right? If this is the case, then if you ever did need to send a second consecutive live round out the chute I guess you could just point the barrel down and let the first fall out first.

Well, looks like I'm selling the swiss arms carbine to buy this sucka.... can't wait! I have 1120 rounds of SA surplus that needs blasting!

I've heard you can make Standard FAL mags work with some 'fitting'. Anyone know what's involved? I can't find and metric mags up here!

I'm assuming there will be a significant volume of spare mags coming along with them, so might not be a big deal.

According to Kel-Tec's website, the target model weighs 11.3lbs with no magazine, and the carbine weighs in at 8.1lbs, no mag.

That actually looks not too bad without the threaded barrel, although looking at it, it doesn't seem like it would be TOO hard to cut threads onto the barrel.

haha we dont even have thier guns yet! vault just told me we cant expect any su16 rifles until january (probably late january) as they still have to submit a rifle to the cfc for classification... im not sure i can wait that long... sub 2000 here i come!

Where are they at with the classification on the SUB or other guns?? Hmmmmmm a sub in 10mm would be super but 40 cal will have to do.
