Kel Tech SU 16F

Have one and love it. Folds up nicely into a backpack rifle. Haven't had a single jam with it and it's super easy to clean.

Some people report the barrel getting very hot very quickly, but the newer ones have chrome lined barrels apparently. Haven't had overheating issues with mine. PLUS they take AR magazines which is a plus (10 round LAR mags yay)

I had some stove pipes(couple, nothing major). Rifle is not worth the price tag in my opinion, but at the same time, it's pretty much the only option under $2000.
Personally I hate the original stock and it feels much more natural with the ar stock adapter. I don't need a rifle to fold in half. Personal preference.

I have one, and also love it. I put the AR stock on mine, but kept the stock forend...I like the look better, and it feels nicer to hold. I hate the iron sights on it though. I've emailed Dlask if there's a way they can install a muzzle brake on. If they can, I'm turfing my front sight and having the muzzle brake put on.

I agree. Eventually front sight on mine will be replaced with a muzzle brake as well. Might be a while though.

Had mine for a year now and many hundreds of rounds through it. No problems with it. Front site and rear site came off right away and barrel was threaded for what have you. Rails went on and flip up sites and scopes and stuff. I had most of the parts before I got the rifle.

I like mine

Kel Tec makes the AR adapter for the various stocks but they only produce a small fore end. The ones you're seeing in this thread are AR and FN fore ends that have been adapted to work on the rifle.

The one in tbloggins post is a CASV AR fore end and the one I use is from an FN FAL.

Wolverine supplies was supposed to look into bringing the red lion forends up.

I think it was wolverine. I can't find anything in their dealer forum about it, maybe It was in an email or something. Any way, I'm going to email red lion again and see if things could be improving.

Hey P@rick, I really like your setup there. I was thinking of picking up an SU-16 and one of the things holding me back is the ability to change out the fore-end and stock.

How extensive are the adaptations that you had to make for the AR fore ends?

The CASV like tbloggins has requires very little but the FN FAL I use takes a bit more. It took me an hr and some cutting and grinding to make it fit snug. I originally had a CASV on mine and it took me 10 mins to modify it to fit on the Kel Tec.
