KelTec RDB vs Eh-R 180

Exactly.
Fact doesn't have Norinco-phobia.
Kel-tec is just that bad as much as some Canadian Eh-R 180.

;)
Kel-tec has both good and no-so-good products. I am sure Norinco too. We're discussing products, not brands / manufacturers.
sub2k, RDB and RFB are definitely good products.

I have a really hard time trusting any of the 180 type rifles out there. Just seems like so much baggage and problems with all of em.

Would also just say "Type 97". Haven't shot them that much, but they've run better than the WK I tried.

Would happily try an RDB for a while though. Liked the Sub2k.

Watched a RDB choke on every stage at a match which required the user to tear down the rifle in order to clear each smashed/jammed cartridge with a gerber. I definitely wouldn't buy one after seeing that dismal failure.

On the other hand, it's a rare occasion when a Canadian made 180 makes it through a match without breaking something. At the same match, a guy running his 7.62x39 model had a cleaning rod handy so he could remove spent rounds from the chamber.

Also watched a Type 97 at the same match. Mediocre accuracy, but it got through the match with no hiccups.

The T-97 is cheap Chinese junk, the trigger is horrible. The RDB is American made and the trigger is the best of any bullpup on the market.
Besides the trigger, whats actually a problem with the T-97?

I mean, an SKS has a pretty crappy trigger too, but you get used to em. The T-97s not really any worse than a Tavor pull. Just a long n spongy.

"junk" is pretty hard to justify

Terrible ergos, terrible accuracy, tight mag wells, terrible recoil impulse, tries to return brass back to China.

At least it goes bang though.

My concern with the RDB would be no warranty for second hand products and lack of available spare parts and no support if you need any.

Type 97 is fairly accurate when cold but once the barrel heats up, that goes downhill. Still, love the reliability. The magwell is tight, not all magazines work but easy to figure out. The trigger is not as bad as the type 81. SKS trigger is better, just the spring kit and degreasing the whole thing helps a lot.

My T97's when I had them were built like a tank, and I didn't have mag issues. Accuracy was good, brass goes to orbit and is a danger to anyone in the way. For anyone having issue with their RDB make sure the gas is adjusted properly, and ALWAYS remove mag immediately and cycle the action for malfunctions, or you're in for a world of hurt in resolving double feeds and jams ... do this and it's unlikely you'll have issues.

Also I wouldn't advise too much dry firing without snap caps ... I have broken firing pins in RDB and RFB, but getting parts wasn't an issue. I'm not sure the same can be said for t97's now.

Sub 2k is likely the ONLY good Kel-tec product that doesn't have strange quirks or QC/reliability issues.
I am sorry but it's a fact.

lol
Like American never made bad products? Check the Kel-tec memes and google "RDB problems".
Fact doesn't care about racial bias bruh....

Another crappy part is its safety position. I find it very anti-human...lol

But for the PRICE, the simplicity and reliability is second to none in the current market.

LOL

Yeah, the ergos are....not ideal haha.

I miss when they were $1100. nothing about it was a show stopper or cheap to me.

2nd hand market is about $1200 now. It's not as crazy as T81 at least.
There was time that I wanted to get it as my SHTF tactical 556 lol. Yet I end up with Tavor x95 and love it.

Still, I d say that T97 is no doubt the best price/value semiauto 223/556 option in the current market.
