Keltec RFB or Tavor

I like my RFB, just make sure you take the time to set the gas system up properly and check every screw after the first 50 rounds to make sure they are tight.

Love how the RFB comes in man size caliber.

I am considering the same thing and think I am going to go with the RFB. Bullpup in 308 is pretty slick. The only issue I have heard with them is magazine related, and the finicky gas system.

Once you adjust the gas system properly for the ammo you use the RFB has worked perfectly for me, I also use the plastic thermold mags and have had no issue there either

I'm a little late to the party, but I'm considering this rifle. I've been looking at bullpups lately like the Tavor and T97, but I'm turned off by the girly caliber they use. Seems like this RFB is the ticket, but I'm concerned about:

1. Adjusting that gas system. I will probably only EVER use one ammo type if I buy this rifle, but it sounds like a royal pain in the butt if I need to change ammo type.
2. Magazine compatibility. Where do I get magazines for this thing? Looking for 30 round pinned magazines.

I bought some 30rnd pinned mags from cowboy tactical supply and they are on here, I prefer the 20rnd plastic thermolds from irunguns though as they are lighter and shorter. Gas system is easy to adjust after you understand the process, shouldn't take any more ammo than what you would use to re sight the gun to the new ammo as you can do it at the same time.

Okay. Been reading that the inventors used Federal Gold 168gr or something. You would think that Kel Tec would produce a setting chart for all the calibers - how difficult would that be since the information would be crowd-sourced. I'm hoping there is a thread discussing what settings people have used for various calibers.

there is only one caliber in an RFB? settings are also different depending on which generation rifle you have.

I wouldn't trust what someone else says either without checking their findings which is basically doing it yourself from the begining.

If you are not able to do gas system adjustments the RFB is clearly a rifle you should not buy

I think he's actually referring to gas settings for different manufactures of ammo, types of projectiles and projectile weight.

Yeah that's what I meant. How difficult really would it be for someone to keep a record of what people have set their gas block to for the ammo they use.
