I don't understand why so many people say it is a $350 gun. If you don't think it's worth the money that's your opinion and your entitled to it but since they sell for $600 as fast as the shops can get them in and considering they are still selling for well over $500 used you are part of the minority if you think it's a $350 gun and I think maybe you should rethink how you value a gun.
The shortage in shops didn't drop off after the initial craze when they first came out. It didn't drop off after people got a chance to play with them and see how reliable or cheap feeling they are. It didn't drop off after people had a chance to get on here and rant about how cheap they are built and say over and over that they aren't worth $600.
How much is it worth to have a non restricted carbine you can stuff in a backpack and carry anywhere? I don't regret my purchase at all.
Mine has been trouble free and accurate over the 1000 or so rounds I've put through it. Yes it has a lot of plastic, so what, so do most black guns these days. That doesn't make it a cheap gun, it makes it the same as others using modern manufacturing methods. If you want it built like an HK or a SIG then you would have to pay $2000+ for it and it would be heavy and hard to get parts for and probably run some proprietary mags that cost $80-$100 each.
Yes it's light but that's one of the best things about it, you don't even notice it in your pack (other than the weight of the 300 rounds of ammo I carry with mine)
Just because they sell for $350 in the US doesn't mean anything here. It costs money to import from the US and I'm sure it cost more to have a special version made just so we can have a non restricted Canadian version.
The cost of the Zombie edition is a little steep for me but like has been said before $600 gun + $150-$200 quadrail + a cheap red dot + a case and it adds up pretty close, and just like the XCR you have to pay a little extra for the tan or green one (for whatever reason) so why should this be any different?
Didn't they sell out of the Zombie version in a couple hours? How much are they worth again?
If you don't like them or think they are overpriced then don't buy one but whining and crying on here isn't going to change the fact that they sell as fast as the shops can get them in and the price will likely not be dropping down to what you think it's worth anytime soon.
Just accept that they are worth more than you think they are and buy one. You will enjoy having a cheap gun you can toss around and not worry about that works and uses cheap mags and ammo.
I think I may add some color to mine one of these days then I can pull out my ZombieMax 9mm and my 32 round mags and pretend I have a zombie edition
