Here we go again. You dont think IRUN cant get ones with 18.5??????? LOL You think Vault has a lock down on them. maybe only canadian importers can get the Canadian versions of all the firearms made for our market too LOL. Come on guys use your brains, you're the guys who make it easy for the firearms importers to gouge us because you let them.
The 18.5" version is made specifically for Vault and export to Canada. You won't find an 18.5" version in the U.S. because it is not a barrel length they produce for commercial sale in the U.S... 16" is all you'll find in the states. The ones that Vault brings in are specially produced to meet Canadian non-restricted firearms definitions. So no, IRUN can't get 18.5" ones, and Vault does have a lock down on them because they are made for Vault.
And I do not think firearm importers are gouging. For you to say that, it shows you don't know the meaning of the word. Yes, firearms are more expensive in Canada, but that's the reality of not living in the states. Not only do the importers have to pay for the cost of exporting the firearms, but they also need to make a profit, as well as the retailers need to make a profit. Combine this with a higher cost of running a business in Canada, and you see the prices we do. For the most part, it's not even that bad. Many guns like Browning and Ruger go for the same or less than the U.S. MSRP. Others, like Kel Tec, need to have special Canadian versions manufactured, and this drives the cost up more.
